Article Processing Charge

The International Journal of Public Health Science (IJPHS) is an open access journal published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA). All articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide without any subscription or paywall.

Submission Fee

There is no fee for submitting a manuscript to IJPHS. Authors can submit their articles without any initial charges.

Article Publication Fee

To cover the costs associated with open access publishing, including editorial management, peer review administration, typesetting, DOI registration, online hosting, indexing, and archiving, authors are required to pay an Article Publication Fee (APF) only upon acceptance of their manuscript.

  • APF for the first 8 pages: USD 265
  • Additional pages beyond 8 pages: USD 50 per page

Note: Biographies of authors are exempt from the APC fee.

What the APC Covers

  • Editorial and peer-review management
  • Professional copyediting and typesetting
  • DOI registration for each published article
  • Online publication, hosting, and indexing in major databases
  • Archiving and long-term preservation
  • Promotion and dissemination of published articles

Exemptions and Discounts

  • Guest editorials, invited articles, book reviews, corrections, addendums, and retractions are published free of charge.
  • Authors with insufficient funding may request a partial waiver of up to 20%, subject to editorial approval. Waiver requests must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission by indicating the request in the Comments to the Editor box.
  • A waiver is unlikely to be granted if it is not requested at the submission stage.
  • Priority for waivers is given to authors from low-income countries as defined by the World Bank, especially those without external funding.
  • Authors from established institutions in developed countries are less likely to receive waivers.

Authors interested in applying for a partial waiver should contact the Principal Contact prior to submission ([email protected]), providing details about the research paper, author affiliations, funding status, and the type of research.

This policy ensures that IJPHS maintains high-quality open access publishing while providing transparent information about publication costs in accordance with COPE, DOAJ, and Scopus standards.
